Warning signs of eating disorder
Eating disorder is largely related to the psychological disturbances that occur in a person. There are two main categories of eating disorder namely, anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. The people with anorexia nervosa are very much concerned about their looks and carry a fear of weight gain thus avoiding intake of food. On the contrary, people suffering with bulimia nervosa indulge in over intake of food and then remove it from the body with the help of various methods like using laxatives, or by regurgitation. Both these types of eating disorder have a serious effect on the person leading to medical complications. Eating disorder is usually difficult to detect but listed below are some of the possible warning signs of eating disorder.
The people suffering from anorexia eating disorder have a greater obsession towards calories, food and fat grams. These people are very low on their self-esteem with feeling of over weighted when being normal. These people are on dieting most of the time and lose weight significantly. Girls with this disorder experience a lack of menstrual periods.
