These people meet regularly and carry out different programs to help the addicted recover from their addiction. The only criteria for earning the membership of this group, is the desire of giving up the addiction. Anyone of any age, gender, religion can join the narcotics anonymous program. A person with any kind of addiction is free to join this program, this is largely because narcotics anonymous focus mainly on the “problem of addiction” and not on any specific drug.
This organization thus not provide with any medical back up for all those recovering from drug addict. However, the most important and positive thing about this organization is that it works. There are many addicts, who have recovered completely from their addiction with the help of this narcotics anonymous program.
The whole concept of this narcotic anonymous is-“one addict helping another” to get rid of his addiction.
