All about addiction

Alcohol is a hypnotic sedative drug through which the central nervous system gets depressed. People drink alcohol on some social events and they get a lot of satisfaction from it. But this is one of the way through which they get addicted towards it. And once they get addicted, it sometimes becomes difficult to rehabilitate them. They may face many problems while doing so. This is so because the person, himself and his body gets used to it so much that they are nit even aware that is dangerous for them.

Drinking alcohol brings about certain changes in the person. His speech becomes slurred and he loses all his co-ordination. It makes him unsteady at the time of standing or walking. The person is unable to have a calm and relaxing sleep. His attention as well the judgment power gets impaired.

If the doses are relatively low, these problems may disappear after a period of time. But larger doses, makes their movement uncoordinated and impaired decision making. Due to such depressive effects, it is always better to avoid alcohol consumption.

If someone becomes addicted to alcohol, you can easily identify them. The person shows a stronger tendency to drink. He may short drinks after waking up from sleep. This is to decrease the feelings of alcohol withdrawal. He is unable to control himself once he is tempted to have a drink. It can be anywhere and at any place.
