Narcotics Anonymous
Narcotic anonymous was started in the late 1940’s, which sprang up from the “Alcoholics Anonymous Program”. Narcotics Anonymous is an “international community-based association”, whose prime goal is of “recovering drug addicts”. The narcotics anonymous is spread across “127 countries worldwide” and has conducted more than “43,900 weekly meetings”. This association is based on a “non profit fellowship” and does not accept funds on non-members.
The members of narcotic anonymous are the people who are or were drug addicted. They help each other recover from the drug addiction and lead a “clean” drug free life. Narcotics anonymous is not like any treatment center or rehab centers, or any residential treatment center, providing medication, counseling, residential facilities etc. This narcotic anonymous only helps in creating an environment where in the addicts encourage each other to stop taking drugs and lead a healthy and happy life and this is miraculously working for the addicts.
Narcotics anonymous, has created a successful platform of “personal growth” and also the “best foundation” needed for a full recovery. It is also not against, of its member simultaneously undergoing any type of medication for this purpose and the psychiatrist help.
The members of the narcotics anonymous rely on “self examination”, “confidential self- disclosure”, “making amends on harm done” for improving their own and other drug addict’s situation. The narcotic anonymous strongly portrays that thought kicking of the drug habit is not simple, but it is also not impossible, you only need a strong will power to regain your normal life.
