| Facility Description: |
Our facility is discretely nestled among peaceful pines and majestic oaks, as well as birch and elm trees. This idyllic location is situated on Grosse Ile on one of Michigan's four Great Lakes. Grosse Ile is an island with access to Lake Erie, and borders the Detroit River and Canada, Here we concentrate on the recovery process taking time out daily to relax, meditate and get in touch with ourselves and nature. We make regular outings that include lakeside bonfires, (complete with guitars and singing, s'mores and more), tranquil meetings sailing on our 40 foot yacht, camping, kayaking, and canoeing.
We also make regular visits to local sporting events and the summer concert series that abound in the area.
During the winter months, outdoor activities turn to cross country-skiing and alpine adventures during "Up North Days"; allowing our members the opportunity to discover themselves while they explore recovery in a serene setting that quietly nurtures the rekindling of a spirit eagerly seeking renewal.

We utilize tried and true methods with a "think outside the box" mentality, which encourage and develop good foundations of recovery. Education is necessary. That's science. When that science is coupled with a compassionate and caring staff dedicated to the one on one involvement that let's people learn from people, it becomes an art.
We tailor the treatment process to each individual, because each person that comes to us has their own individual challenges. We understand that, and as a result, challenge ourselves to provide each individual the treatment that best addresses their own set of concerns and issues. Those issues include Dual Diagnosis or Co-Occurring Disorders. We specialize in assisting those with concerns in this area.
The professional staff at Touchstone assists those in our program to develop the tools necessary to obtain sobriety and equally as important, to maintain it long after their stay with us has ended… and their new life has begun
